This course is designed for anyone interested in designing databases and implementing them to a professional standard using Microsoft SQL Server.

This course is a introduction to the vast world of data analytics and machine learning using the Python programming language.

You will learn about the state of the art in data analytics and machine learning by leveraging the most widely used Python libraries, which are developed and maintained by companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter.

As both data analytics and machine learning fields are quite vast and fast expanding, we will focus our efforts on grasping the foundations, which should enable you to get a junior position as a data analyst.

Please note: If you have never done any programming before, you need to have a strong grasp of Python before enrolling - we recommend our Intro to Programming with Python short course as the pre-requisite. Delegates who are strong programmers in other languages (C++, Java etc)  may be able to convert as they go. Please see the linked intro course's syllabus for guidance.

This course teaches the basics of constructing and manipulating the gold-standard relational database, Oracle. You will learn how to create and populate database components such as tables and views, and enforce business rules with the use of appropriate constraints.

The Spreadsheet Data Analysis and Automation with Python short course introduces people familiar with basic Python knowledge to data analysis.

In this hands-on course, students with prior experience of Python will learn how to install Python libraries such as Pandas, how to use openpyxl and xlwings to manipulate and automate data in Excel format, and how to manipulate data in Google sheets.
