Safety Risk Management

The Safety Risk Management module defines the current tools, techniques and approaches to address aviation safety risks, and explores how this is changing as we face increasing complexity, uncertainty and ambiguity.

Course Description

A practical module designed and led by industry experts uses videos and presentations, with learning embedded with real-life case studies and exercises.

We explore the established means of addressing Safety Risk Management in aviation, how risks are identified and assessed, how we decide if a risk can be tolerated and if not how that risk will be treated. But we also cover how the industry is changing to embrace new ideas including how to build knowledge in our assessments, the way surprises can be addressed and more robust ways of visualizing the overall safety risk management picture.
