‘Introduction to Extended Reality Design and Production’ will introduce participants to key ideas and developments of XR technologies and provide the opportunity for students to build an immersive application from concept to completion.

Course Description

This short course will support companies that are embarking on the use of extended reality in their workplace.  The course will provide participants with a grounding in XR technologies and techniques helping them to understand the terminology, techniques, use cases and associated benefits for which AR and VR are applicable. The course will teach participants to storyboard and map out an XR experience or application and through use of the ARuVR platform create working AR or VR experiences for their organisation.

The course will be taught in City’s brand-new, Office for Students (OfS) funded Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Design Learning Centre. This state of the art facility provides staff, students, and external partners access to cutting edge technology for the creation of immersive experiences.
