This short course teaches CSS theory and practical strategies for turning graphical mockups into functioning CSS-styled websites. It covers CSS2 and CSS3 with HTML5. It is intended to fast-track learners who are confident with (X)HTML and have a basic knowledge of CSS.
This is a hands-on course aimed at beginners with no previous knowledge of HTML. The course teaches the fundamental concepts in web design, management and implementation using HTML. Students are guided through a step-by-step process to create a fully functioning website using examples and exercises.
This course is intended to enable those already familiar with HTML to build more powerful web solutions and advance to dynamic, database-enabled, website/intranet programming and applications using the popular PHP language.
Students will learn how to develop real-world web applications with PHP. Topics covered include database and content management, security and session handling, server side data validation, on-the-fly image generation, configuration of web development environments under Windows and Unix, and object-orientated programming in PHP.
