Charity Turnarounds - changing ahead of the curve
Charity turnarounds are usually attempted after things have gone too far, the organisation is in dire straits and the cure can be terminal. How do you judge when and how to persuade a charity that it must change before it realises it needs to, ie “ahead of the curve” to use a concept promoted by Charles Handy? Julie Bentley has led a change programme at Girlguiding and she will explain how this was achieved. Caroline Copeman will give more generalizable advice on the do’s and don’ts of change programmes.
All Talks are chaired by Professor Ian Bruce CBE, President of the Centre for Charity Effectiveness, Cass Business School, City University London. They take place at Cass Business School, 106 Bunhill Row, London, EC1Y 8TZ, 6pm for 6.30pm and include a buffet and drinks reception.
